Watched it last night, pretty awesome show. It had me going all the way to the end. At first, it was kinda weird/slow, but I got into it.

So, I've watched 12 Monkeys and Fight Club. Two old school bots2 clans. Any other clan-named Movies I need to watch?

i love the boondock saints movie, but making it into a show is a bad idea like there is plans for one. Makes me sad.

I remember seeing Fight Club at the cinema, and not expecting too much from it - was blown away by it. Still one of my all time favorites.

And I love the Dune movie, even though it's not very good.. It's one of few David Lynch's movies i like :) Like with all his movies, its mostly about the atmosphere/vibe of things instead of a clear plot. It's sinister and mystical.

The books are great. If you're into reading, go for it. The Dune franchise is ridiculously large.. but only the first 6 books were written by the original author i think. I haven't bothered with the rest. The first book is great, the 2nd is better than the first, and the third is better than the second :)

I used to "read", some. Lolz.

The last book that I read, that I really liked, was http://www.amazon.com/Space-Trilogy-Perelandra-Hideous-Strength/dp/068483118X, Out on the Silent Planet. A guy came to another planet and there were aliens of sorts. He started to understand them. It was an interesting read.

I really like how C.S. Lewis writes. I'm very technical, and I sometimes have to re-read a sentence a few times, to get it right. That's why I type in bite sized sentences usually. lol..

What i like about Dune is that its not the typical scifi with lasers pewing, and alien life forms. It's pretty political, different houses trying to gain power. And the characters actually matter, its not as flat as the lord of the rings books.

I'll look up the movie, if I like it. I may read the books. I got so much going on. It sounds neat.

what tolkien did with lord of the rings/the hobbit was to take all the background stuff and put it in another book, read Silmarillion for that.

read Silmarillion for that.

I have. It was even duller than LoTR :P

& Alan if you watch Dune pay very close attention to what is said at the very beginning.

Jans David Lynch is awesome! Series 1 of Twin Peaks is one of the best TV shows ever. With Bob being a truly chilling character.

As long as we're discussing books, I'll give a mention for the Wheel of Time series. I think I know of a couple others players that have read/are reading it. I'm still stuck on...book 10 I think? It's been some time. If and when I ever finish this series (it's quite long), I'll probably pickup Dune.
