FIFA is overrated anyway samulii. A soccer tournament every 4 years? I mean, the first qualification match for the 2014 FIFA tournament was 15 June 2011. Who has time for that shit? The Olympics are a more respected franchise and everyone competes in a variety of sports(unless they have a reason not to). Yet everyone goes crazy over a bunch of men hitting a ball around a field and the games mostly end up in 0-0 draws etc. But I guess it's just because FIFA essentially owns the summer sport market every 4 years and people like big events. |

Dont blame FIFA if football is most popular sport in world. I am sure where is a lot of other sport events during summer too. Its not like FIFA isnt terrible, but still its not FIFA fault. And how the fuck you can compare Olympics with football world cup anyway? oO By the way you really need to check how FIFA world cup qualifications work and get some knowledge about various sport (not only football) events in general. |

Go Portugal! ... hmm wait, they are already back... I'm proud that we followed the example of other honorable european teams like Spain, England or Italy! So who will win? I always thought it will be Brazil, but if I had to bet it would be in Columbia because probably it's not so expected they win and I would get more money no? |

I don't think any team from U.S.A will win I think one of the European teams will win it i really like the look of France at the minute they look exciting |

My statement was supposed to be a joke really. My country, Canada and samulii's country of Finland just didn't qualify so I made up a funny reason why they didn't. Because soccer is for pussies or something like that. Haha. Now onto your comment. I don't blame FIFA for monetizing on a popular sport. Soccer is a very accessible game for many people to play and that's why it's popular. Hockey and certain other sports aren't thought of the same way due to their "barriers to entry" if you will. There are sports events all the time, it's just that tournaments like FIFA and the Summer Olympics only happen every 4 years and it's the best comparison I could think of for a sports event that only happens every 4 years. And takes over the television hehe. I resent your entire second paragraph. I had to look up when the first qualification match was. I don't have to look up anything because I don't give a fuck about soccer. You hear that? You like your own sport and that's your business. I do my own things and that's my business. I made a joke and you start swearing at me for no reason. Go fuck yourself. |

Soccer is so popular they should play more often then just every 4 years |

they do .. it like with winter/summer olympics, every 4 years you have the world cup and every 4 years theres the continental cups (like in european/african/asian/percific/etc). So there is a major soccer event every 2nd year. |

Yes if you're have sky sports, other wise I'd have to say your wrong other than champion league and fa cup and the odd international game. Your all annoyed because it takes up your precious little soaps. |

I'm not annoyed, I'm loving the World Cup, but saying there is a lack of football on British TV is completely wrong. I don't watch soaps, hell, I don't even watch TV. |
