Just looking to see who would be interested in beating the top clan and getting into war

Im not pushing the clan around. I'm looking for people to challenge the top clans and get the win.

You make it look like you are posting to get people to join this clan; while it's not yours, that is what Alan is aiming at.

I have no means to tell people to join this clan, as stated in the clan profile by nos, of you want to join by all means go ahead.

Nos isn't going to push for the top but just do a decent amount of scoring, with that I would implore you to add to something he is already doing.atleast I know he is going to be active and that's half the battle

You are pushing people to join the clan to attack the top spot; which is not what the clan is for. If you want to score, sure go ahead. But don't ask people to join to challenge for the top spot, as that is not the intention of the clan.

I never once said to join this clan tho. The original post was to gain interest to see who would want to join a new clan. I think you both assumed it was to join this clan, but not once did I say I was recruiting for this clan, sure it would be nice but I'm not forcing anyone at all. My post was to see who would want to join a clan to challenge the top spot. Seeing as how neither of you have ever scored anything great , you can't tell me what I'm doing

You implied it and rationalized that idea specifically. But that being said, I don't see why the others here are acting as if you're undermining nos when the clan page literally states anybody is welcomed. All you're saying is it makes more sense to add onto an already existing pile of growing energy to compete. The caveat is just to not expect nos to lose any sleep or change his routine for a last minute push or something, everybody is left to their own devices basically.

I'm not new. Didn't backpedal, Pat but maybe I should have chosen my words better. Mal is right I joined because why not, nos is already doing some work might as well join and add, well both you and Mal said it in different ways but yeah same thing. I know nos will do as he pleases and that's fine, I'm not here to over take his clan or anything of the sort, just figured this could be an option for a clan to have a win with other being in the clan to score while nos does, well nos things. I don't see any harm in that option.

I know this is a lot to ask though. Mind you I've also said that I hate Nos so I don't see this happening either. Too bad though Confided, I tried to help :) Mind you I've stopped playing the game and stopped suggesting things so we really have nothing to talk about anymore anyway.

Although I understand George's sentiment with this thread, I can also undertand people's alternative view point (based mostly on my actual stance).

If people want to band together, and do so within my clan, they are free to do so. On the same point though, don't expect me to help you specifically in winning, or other clan aspects. I made that clear up front. Also don't expect certain treatment for scoring a lot, nor should you anticipate leadership roles because you don't think I'm doing a great job.

The main point of my clan thread was to not have people misunderstanding what I'm doing. I made a clan to pool my bots together and play on them to a common goal. If you want to add to it, then do so. If you want something more, then make your own clan.

Too bad Confided, your boss would rather you lose and not get 1st than use more than one word in a sentence (this was mostly a joke anyway, I knew he wouldn't want me).

Btw, point of interest, the reason why nobody really tries to get 1st, even though multiple clans have tried and there's a whole new month with new energy gain and what have you is pretty much the community. The game itself is not hard to play, it's just finding motivation to do so is a major problem. You can meander along and do what you want, sure, but when it comes to getting 1st places certain people will go out of their way to ruin your day unless you have some stellar record of being everyone's friend. The game has already been divided up into the people who have the means and drive to win and the ones who just want to do their own thing. When this game was more of a social game circa bots2 I felt there was lots of motivation in what people wanted to do and trying to have fun rather than just "get 1st" but those days are long past. Everyone now is a grumpy old man who doesn't want to talk to one another because after 10-20 years of playing the same game and hearing the same talk they just don't care anymore. I'm one of them :P

I'll also say and, this might get moderated, that people did get fed up with how long Ender took to do anything. Finding cheaters, doing anything to the clan race, simple things that were suggested dozens of times (we still don't have an easy accept all button!), these became sticking points that I and others pointed out (even when I was gone for 5 years). It's not that they were ignored, it's that they weren't implemented. But when years go by and nothing is done, it seems like you're/everyone pretty much is being ignored. Most of the fun that was had at first turned to animosity because people just wanted to complain about nothing being done or that certain ideas were stupid or that some people just seemed to hate the ideas of certain people (including myself, I'm not discounting my part is this but it was my way of trying to get Ender to do things). One suggestion might be more fun than the other or one might be more useful but I think they all have merit. I think things could've been done a lot better over the years but the game is indeed in its "mature" stage now and the people who are here are the ones that are staying and the ones that don't want to play have left already. Nobody seems to hold out hope for new players to come so that leaves us with a small but super stagnant pool of players that you either want to play with or want nothing to do with.

And that, that's the state of the game. Even with new things being added, Ender can't change the people here. So even if he put a dozen years worth of changes into this game and makes it super cool and awesome, there's some (like me), that never want to come back. And there is little to no reason for us to do so.

Mal is super sexy by the way. He's got a long golden, flowing mane of hair, beautiful pecs that'd make Fabio faint with jealousy, and a...something that'd make Peter North be like "I can never measure up!" He also has boatloads of money and will take your to his private villa on Saturdays in his private jet just to tell you you're awesome then take your to Paris and have dinner at the finest restaurant in town. And his brain, my god, artificial intelligence could not fathom his super intellect.

The game itself encouraged one big dominant clan. The Community COULDA decided to play "suboptimally" and all... but, at same time, I sorta appreciated playing Game Theory Optimal or whatever.

The changes were announced right before month began. Can't really expect this month to then tell us exactly what future clan races will look like then. Everyone wasn't going to instantly solo quit Lusi or whatever.

Personally, I think the game itself took great measures to encourage a more competitive environment and NOW we can really start to look at the community itself and whether the playerbase just doesn't care about clans anymore versus simply "playing right" and doing what was kinda asked from the game itself.

Now, I happen to think things are definitely set to pretty dramatically change... but, in theory, these changes could actually make top spot even less competitive and really just encourage more competition throughout top 10, rather than specifically for first

But... changes are really great, imo. Big, big fan.q

Not sure what the problem is here in a player trying to get others together and push for a win regardless if it's their clan especially when it's much more possible with this months changes. I was going to write a better reply until I read Cosbys so I will just copy and paste his.

How to beat the top:

Make a bunch of tourney bots, lie in wait for top scorer you dislike to get a high score, ruin his/her day. Rinse and repeat.

You clearly aren't aware of the time and effort it takes to build certain tourney bots.

Yes, but would it work? Probably.

Mass production of tourney bots to va any scoring level is about 2-3 days max effort but hey the more you know I guess. The 100 and lower ranges is 1 day tops to 4-5 hours at the bottom to beat the lower scorers it’s not that hard to do people are just lazy
