ender explained this once, it had something to do with how he had to make bots with closed beta and how the database refused an entry apparently(I think) and it just skipped over the correct number. |

No accounts have been deleted, but yeah, closed beta accounts were created manually and I think when you try to make an insert that creates a unique index violation (username or botname in this case), the insert fails but the auto increment field still goes up. That was my guess anyway. |
