Howdy,
I'm unable to get the 'bots reset' and 'view all bots associated with email' requests to process.|
On firefox, it hangs shortly then I'm presented with a blank, white page.
On internet explorer/edge/whatever they;re calling it this week (hehe) the requests are returning "this page isn't working right now bots4.net can't currently handle this request Http Error 500.
And I've only got 32GB of RAM so I can't open Chrome! (jokes, same error message as edge).
Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes currently anything in bots that requires an email to be sent, is broken, seems only Ender can fix it on his end, so for now we patiently wait, hoping for him to return safely and fix the issue.

We are not far from a year now of having no email functionality in a game that has multiple key processes requiring email, very frustrating please sort it Ed wherever you are.

Sorry, this is very much on my radar and I know it's really annoying that this has been broken so long. Just to provide a little context on why this hasn't been fixed yet, it's unfortunately not a quick fix. Without getting into all the gory technical details, the reason this broke in the first place is that one of the systems powering the game's server (let's call it "X") is too old and is no longer supported. Where this gets complicated to fix is that in order to upgrade X, Y must first be upgraded...and to upgrade Y, Z must first be upgraded (this is a mostly-appropriate analogy). Fixing all this is absolutely doable, but it's complicated and risky - I've started a couple times and backed off before finishing, but I'll eventually work through the issues and get this resolved. Sorry it's taking so long.

No worries, thanks for clearing up.
People owe each other stars, want to reset bots that have been idle for months and for me personally I forgot what bots I owned since they all declanned. There are a number of other things affected it really hampers the game.
Anyway thanks for the speedy reply at least we know you're working on it.

Any progress with this Ed? If something is killing this game it is this feature being broken. At least I don't play because of that!

If you're not able to solve the upgrade issue don't be afraid to ask for help. I mean there are a lot of people with huge amounts of knowledge of all kinds of script languages, webservers and databases here.

Trying to think if I have ever waited a year for something before and I genuinely can't think of anything, since the global average life expectancy is 72 years old, we have all waited 1.3% of our lives for the email to be fixed so far, how cool is that lol ...
