It's called a donation for a reason. Nothing can be traced back to Ender in any case because it is a "donation". You aren't buying ordering, nor buying stars. You are getting stars for free because your gracious donation. |

Sometimes it can benefit Ender as well. Say there's some players who don't buy stars cause their a bit pricey, but would donate a smaller sum. They might buy 1 at 5 dollars, and could get addicted. (stars are like crack) |

Even if he is receiving donations he still needs to report it to uncle Sam come tax time. As far as I know he isn't a non profit charity organization or a church and $4500 is a considerable amount of income (which can easily be tracked by the IRS if they want to, this isn't exactly some private business operating out of his basement.) The US isn't Europe and things are done differently. The US government needs all the money it can get its grubby hands on. Theres a lot of wars that need fighting and wars cost money to be fought. |

I don't know Roman. What does it have to do with getting stars for half price? I guess since somebody brought up the point of buying a star as being a donation would have something to do with it. Which btw, if the star cost half price it would still have to be reported to the IRS as income. However if the customer paid him in cash then it couldn't be tracked and he could get away with evading the payment of taxes. Laws in the US are inacted so that if monetary transactions are made through any financial institutions located in the US then they are required by law to report it to the gov. That includes electronic transactions and if you pay by credit card or whatever it can be tracked. Of course he probably won't be bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars so it might go un-noticed under the radar. But they will catch up with you eventually so be aware... The US gov needs every penny it can get to keep all these wars going. |

but also baring in mind that the money is sent to ender as a "donation" they would not be forced to tax him on it as the money is sent over as a transaction and in some ways a gift. He is not legally selling stars over the website, just putting forward the idea that if some money magically fell into his bank then you would recieve something in return. |
