To replace the stand energy per hour gained for nothing. How about this.

Formula -> ((TheirRatio+Yourratio)/2) * (Theirlevel / YourLevel)

That way, this encourages bots with high ratios to fight high ratios to gain the most points possible. Then, it also encourages people to fight people higher than themselves.

Simple, yet to the point.

((TheirRatio+Yourratio)/2) * (Theirlevel / YourLevel)

Me - 1.03 Ratio at Lvl 65

Bot 1 - .04 Ratio at Lvl 65 = 0.535 (TheirRatio+YourRatio)/2 = 0.535 (Theirlevel / YourLevel) = 1

Bot 2 - 5.4 Ratio at Lvl 65 = 3.215 (TheirRatio+YourRatio)/2 = 3.215 (Theirlevel / YourLevel) = 1

Bot 3 - .04 Ratio at Lvl 70 = 0.576 (TheirRatio+YourRatio)/2 = 0.535 (Theirlevel / YourLevel) = 1.077

Bot 4 - 5.4 Ratio at Lvl 70 = 3.462 (TheirRatio+YourRatio)/2 = 3.215 (Theirlevel / YourLevel) = 1.077

Now what exactly are you suppose to do with this? How would this factor into "energy" gain?

As i said in this thread: http://bots4.net/forum/4/1892 ratio gives a lot of problems. First one can easily manipulate it. If i hadn't raped a couple of bots just for the wins, my ratio (on my main) would be more likely to be 3ish instead of 4. If it would be profitabel for me, id easily get a low ratio so people dont steal my energy. Second problem is with people like Rivan (http://bots4.net/profile/240/Rivan) why has a fucking high ratio. What happens to him, he loses 10.000 energy every loss? yeah right...

ratio based formulas are not going to work, never. Look at the Xp formula, people even bitch alot about that too....

I have to agree. There needs to be a formula, but one that is fair for everyone, regardless of ratio. Though I do agree that attacking a higher level should warrant added bonus.

if only there were a way to truly tell how good a bot actually is and use this information to calculate exp/energy from a victory
