hey ender i think it'd be pretty cool to have the option to change your username or bot name. you could charge $10 usd or so. it'd be beneficial to you and us players. but its just a thought.

No. Choose wisely when you make a new bot.

why not have the option to change>? for ender its an easy way to make money. he can use that money to advertise or expand the game. or he could just pocket it :D

No. Your bot name should be chosen more carefully as its how people know you, don't like the name you chose then unlucky, should have thought about it before.
Also by charging for things like that the game will become just a way to get money, we already have stars which gives the game plenty of cash. (No offence to ender here, not trying to make you lose money) but it just wouldn't work.

My thoughts on name changes:

I have to say I'm kind of against this too. It's true that I have been soft on changing user/bot names, but that's more because I just have trouble saying no to something so seemingly innocuous. At least there's no precedent for clan names.

That being said, I like the idea of a name being a permanent marker on a person/group's identity. Much like a clan's founder bot, these should be immutable pieces of data that showcase an unchanged history.

Choose names carefully because I think I will implement a "no changes" policy soon when I draft the game rules.
