Seems reasonable but I mean does it really take that long to do a captcha? it takes 10 seconds maximum and I would much rather have to put up with that than cheaters.

Well it's not a complete removal of captcha, just a different, more human-friendly kind. With kittens. Y'all know you've had times where you had to refresh the captcha like 4 times before getting one you could read, haha

Yes but from what i can see you would have to do a kind of captcha(picking images which match the statement) then for a long period of time you would only have to do one click..I would rather see captcha made harder on bots to really eliminate any threat of cheating. Maybe a primary school numeracy or english question idk.

Picture books > 2 word phrases that barely anyone can understand and go along the line of jkdlajiiudoaadsa

And yay, kittens! Mind you this is far harder for a computer to figure out as it would need to define what it is looking at, which was only just recently figured out:

Took 50 years and we're still figuring it out :/ They can't really tell that the pink motorcycle is even pink. So ya, technically speaking, this new captcha is an improvement.

Ender uses Google's reCaptcha system. And from what I understand he doesn't have any control over the type used. So if Google switches to this, so will the system here.

It doesn't matter the exact way captchas are displayed, they can still be solved by 3rd parties.

One way to stop this, is make an in house captcha like floR did with the 3 numbers. Then if someone tries to go to that image link, it changes. reCaptchas urls don't change. The link will be the same captcha forever.

And those numbers were easy to input.

I've been paying attention to this new development, it's interesting and hopeful. I need to evaluate whether it makes sense for the sort of use case we have in this game though. I suspect it tries to solve a different problem unfortunately (e.g. "I have a signup form and want to prevent random spammers/bots from registering"), but I need to verify.
