Besides just give them to people that don't need them?

Is there some sort of like, Star Lottery like we had in bots2, or something in the same vain as that?

I'd much rather put my stars to positive use in contributing to the games growth instead of lending them to people that don't need them.

If there's no such thing, then I guess I'll just temp them onto people who already own 30+ stars because those are the only people that play this game.

And considering Ender now runs the entire game and has complete control, s Star Lottery wouldn't require the use of others stars. Since he can just make them out of thin air.

I realize that Ender simply call them out of thin air if he likes, however floR did that as well, and had 10 for a Jackpot and 10 others randomly distributed, so I assume he'd do something similar to that as well.

As for some sort of competition, I wouldn't even know where to begin with that sort of idea.

I'd definitely be up for some sort of competition/reward system for new players that helps them out, as I feel this sort of stuff helps them continue playing etc, but I have no creative mind, and lack the resources to do anything of the sort anyway.

You sign up, every ~week to put votes in for yourself. Then you have sponsors with stars. At the end of the month, it could randomly pick X number of people based on votes and stars. Then they get distributed.

I don't think you understand how the lottery works, implying voting sites give a fuck what bot you're logged into here. You could have a billion bots and it wouldn't make a difference.

It would just be one site.

• You add your name of your bot to the website initially.
• Add one vote to that name
• A check to make sure no more than one vote for that account a day
• Pick winner at end of month. Or 5-10. whatever.
• End of month, all names would be deleted completely and a new batch would be made.

still many different ways to by pass that alan and have one person continue to vote themself. Proxies do make wonders and certain things.

I think no one is actually listening to what Alan is saying. Actually rithy, proxies wouldn't be much help if the system was configured to honor one vote/day per account. With what Alan's describing, proxies wouldn't help you get multiple votes a day on a bot, any more than proxies would help you buy two buffs a day, or order two uniques simultaneously, on bots4.

Poor Alan, he comes up with a nice little idea to help the greater community & he still gets shot down :P

Rith. You don't understand.

Simple as this. Have a column that says "Vote". If it is checked, then you can't vote again that day. At midnight, it will reset everyones and let them vote ONCE again for that account.

Alan theres still away around that by multi accounts voting for the same person and multi accounts getting logged on different addresses. So yes i do understand, and i understand the fact there is ways around the method your talking about.

Actually rithy, neither of those methods would work. It's really really really simple, I don't know how I can explain it any simpler. A bot can't be voted for more than once a day. All the proxies in the world and ten thousand bots wouldn't be able to find a way around that. I wish I knew how to explain it in simpler terms but I think that was already this story's simplest form.

• Log on my site. Type name in of Bot -> Alan
• If no vote for today (Vote from database for that name you entered = 0), add one to Total_Votes

• Then make a database query and set Vote = 1 for that name.

• If vote for today already (Vote from database for that name you entered = 1), don't add one.

No IP checks, raw database Insert and Update.

He's saying bots can only receive one vote per day, it has nothing to do with giving a vote.
